Introducing our Family Unification Assessment Project
Following the crisis in Afghanistan last year, we are delighted to introduce our new Family Unification Assessment Project which will help Unaccompanied Minors waiting to be reunited with family members in the UK.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have been able to introduce a new Family Unification Assessment Project to help support Unaccompanied Minors arriving in the UK following the crisis in Afghanistan.
The project aims to help unite family members and minimise the time that young people are spending at borders, where they are at risk of exploitation, violence and trafficking.
In one of our first cases, our Child Protection Specialist is helping two Afghan brothers reunite with their older sibling who is already in the UK. Their mother and father tragically died on the journey out of Afghanistan and having faced poverty and discrimination, the brothers are eager to be reunited and build a new life together.
The project is offering free of charge assessments to assist asylum and family unification applications. For further details on how to make a referral, please click here.
