Children and Families Across Borders (CFAB) is delighted to announce we will be collaborating with FC Marylebone (FCM), an organisation which shares our values in protecting vulnerable children and helping them to fulfil their potential, no matter where they are from. The partnership aims to increase awareness and funding of CFAB, while allowing FCM to invest in nutrition, sports psychology and coaching developments for their players.
Through their FCM for Everyone programme, FCM has given young people from disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to build a sense of belonging, unity and ownership, all values that CFAB shares. In collaboration with our Refugee Family Reunification Project, we will be encouraging young refugees to take part in this programme to ensure they can develop important life skills and settle into their new community with the support they deserve. CFAB has worked for over 65 years to ensure vulnerable children are provided with a happy and safe environment where they can thrive, and we look forward to working with FC Marylebone to make that a reality for even more young people.
About FC Marylebone:
Founded in 2019, FCM’s ethos, “Football for All”, reflects the club’s mission to leverage the power of football to bring communities together. The club has more than 100 members, boys and girls aged 3 to 11 years and a 17+ team, competing across four leagues in London. FCM seeks to implement a holistic approach to training their young athletes, including nutritional and sports psychological advice, which benefits their development on and off the pitch. Through its coaching development program, FCM offers disadvantaged young adults the possibility to acquire coaching experience and qualifications, providing a potential career path.
