Every child in the UK has the right to care, protection and a family life, no matter where they come from.  CFAB runs a free Advice Line, five days per week, to provide guidance and practical support on cross-border children and family cases.

CFAB Advice Line – Easter Closure

Our Advice Line will be closed on Thursday 2 April 2026, as well as the Easter Bank Holidays on Friday 3 April and Monday 6 April 2026.

If you are concerned that a child is in immediate danger, please contact the police:

  • Call 999 in an emergency
  • For non‑emergencies, call 101 or submit an online report via: https://www.police.uk/pu/contact-us/

You may also contact your local authority if you have concerns about a child’s safety.

How we can help

CFAB’s team of international children’s social workers are experts in cross-border child protection cases, care proceedings requiring cross-border cooperation and placements abroad. 

Through our Advice Line, our specialist team can provide practical advice and support on a range of issues including:

  • Pre placement services
  • Post placement services
  • Social workers practising abroad
  • Family reunification support
  • Legal advice

Where we can’t help, we will do our best to signpost you to someone who can.
