Once again, CFAB has been given a special opportunity to take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge. All donations given to CFAB between midday on Tuesday 29 November and midday on Tuesday 6 December will be match funded.
One donation, twice the impact.
Children and Families Across Borders (CFAB) works to protect some of the most vulnerable but least visible members of society. We identify and protect children who have become separated from their family across international borders. We work to protect children like the young girl in our film below.
We protect children who have suffered from unthinkable violence, trauma and neglect. Children who are in care, moved from one lonely placement to another. Children who have fled war and conflict and have no safe home.
No one else does the work that we do. We are the only charity in the UK with an international child protection team and we work with partners in over 132 countries around the world.

In the past year, CFAB has helped over 2,300 children through our Advice Line and over 300 children through case work – and all with a small team of less than 20 staff.
We know our work has a positive impact on the lives of thousands of children. Children who grow up with family are more likely to fulfil their potential; to perform better at school, to have better economic prospects and to be healthier.
There are currently over 100,000 children in care today in the UK and we estimate that 20% of those children have family overseas who should be considered for their long-term care.
